Chapter Two And Three

The second and third chapters of what I wrote so long ago.

Chapter 2:

While all this was happening, something else was going on with the humans.

the Demon King had entered the realm through a portal, and the rift had left a huge magical spot.

And people were drawn there.

The people came and came, and soon there was a population on that island. And through the years, the people changed. The magic in the air changed them, their DNA.

And they weren't human anymore.

They were Arapanians, the peoples of Magyk, the lovers of the Gods, the lords of Europe.

They were advanced for their time, too.

And soon came the day.... that they all had magic powers. And when this day dawned, it was the same time that the Demon King was banished from the Demon Council.

And then, a child was born. The girl's name was Annaley Rosalie. And her power was very special. She could speak to the gods.

Chapter 3:

Annaley skipped along with a smile spread across her face. Her basket was in her hand, filled with apples. The sky was clear overhead, and Apple trees grew all around her. The peaceful thrum of the world wrapped around her orchard, and she slowed. Up on a branch just out of her reach, was a perfect, ripe, round, red apple. She reached up but found that she couldn't reach the apple. She jumped and strained and still, the apple just stayed out of her reach. She put down her basket, crossed her arms, and glared at the fruit.

"Would you like some help?" a voice said. She wheeled around, and looking at her was a boy just a tad older than she was, maybe 8 or 9 winters old. He had about 4 inches on her, and could probably just reach the apple. He grinned at her, his dark hair falling in his face.

"Yes, please," she said, stepping out of the way. He reached up, grabbed the apple and gave it a tug. It came off easily in his hand, and he handed it to Annaley. She beamed at him, picked upher basket, and put in the fruit.

"So what's your name?" The boy asked.

"Annaley," she replied with a smile. "Yours?"

"Malus," he said.

The two children linked arms, and walked back towards the village.

They grew up very close to one another, and when they came of age they even married.

This is how the mother and father of the Ancient Seven came to know one another.
